BITUG represents the collective interests of Tandem / HPE Nonstop users across the British Isles. As an independent, member-led organisation, it provides a unified voice in response to industry developments while maintaining a constructive working relationship with HPE.
Technical Knowledge & Peer Collaboration
Through Special Interest Groups (SIGs), technical forums, and education days, BITUG enables members to exchange practical expertise on systems management, security, resilience, and strategic NonStop topics. It fosters real-world knowledge sharing between practitioners.
International Representation & Influence
As an affiliated member of Connect (the International Tandem User Group), BITUG ensures that British Isles NonStop users are represented globally. It connects regional expertise with international strategy and vendor engagement.
Community-Driven & Non-Profit Governance
Founded in 1984, BITUG is the largest NonStop user group outside the United States. It operates as a volunteer-run, non-profit organisation governed by an annually elected committee, ensuring it remains member-focused and independent.
