ETI-NET Gala Dinner at the Merry Ploughboy
Our amazing friends at ETI-NET are sponsoring the E-BITUG 2025 Gala Dinner on the Wednesday evening at the Merry Ploughboy Gastro Pub just outside of Dublin.
Coaches will take attendees from the conference Hotel to the Merry Ploughboy where they will be treated to an evening of traditional Irish food and entertainment.
This is truly a unique venue, and we are confident that E-BITUG 2025 attendees will love it. We have sampled the menu and can firmly say you will not be disappointed by the quality of the meal or the portion sizes.
This wonât be an evening of fine dining but rather one of traditional Irish comfort food and entertainment. However, you can still dress up if you want to.
Unusually for this type of event, the Merry Ploughboy will offer an Ă la carte menu on the evening, so no need to pre-order and no set menu.
This is the perfect opportunity to soak up the Irish traditional culture while relaxing with your NonStop friends and colleagues all made possible by ETI-NET so please remember to visit them in the Vendor exhibition space and to attend their Plenary presentation.
ETI-NET, Vanessa, Phil, the BITUG team and HPE staffers will also be in attendance for relaxed conversation following the show.
Dublin Planning Visit
Kevin and I have just returned from a visit to Dublin to progress planning and preparation for E-BITUG 2025. During our trip, we visited the Guinness Storehouse, the Jameson Bow Street Distillery, the Merry Ploughboy, and spent time within the vendor hall and rooms we will use for the Training Day, Plenary, and Breakout sessions during E-BITUG 2025. The Clayton Burlington Road Dublin is a truly first-class event venue that we can't wait to share with you all.
We also sampled the Guinness at the Storehouse Gravity Bar, which was excellent. They say it's the best pint of Guinness you will taste anywhere in the world, and I believe them. During the Beer Bust, stations will be set and Guinness staff will show you how to pull the perfect pint, with certificates awarded to all who pass this interactive instruction. But donât worry if Guinness isnât your thing; there will be a full bar available on the evening, as well as a selection of bowl food for attendees. We also ran through the finer details and arrangements for the Beer Bust evening.
Onwards to the Jameson Bow Street Distillery to sample this experience; again, this is a truly first-class experience and a must for whiskey lovers. Even if you donât like an Irish whiskey, this is still a fantastic interactive tour.
We visited the Merry Ploughboy Gastro Pub to run through the schedule and specific arrangements for the ETI-NET sponsored âGalaâ event. This is truly a unique venue, and we are confident that E-BITUG 2025 attendees will love it. We sampled the menu and can firmly say you will not be disappointed by the quality of the meal or the portion sizes.
