 “The year is flying by….”
Its hard to believe we are now in April.. The little, lil or Summer SIG will soon be upon us. This event will be held for the first time at the ‘Old lady of Threadneedle Street’, yes the Bank of England Convention centre will host a BITUG event for the first time.
On the day HP will provide an updated NonStop Hardware and Software roadmap and end user centric presentations will be given by, VocaLink, Bank of England, Xypro, ComForte and ETI Net. The day will be top and tailed with a presentation about the history of the Bank of England in the morning and a keynote presentation from Intel will lead us into the usual prize giving.
Attendees will also be able to visit the Bank of England museum, which will be a first for me at least. And then in the evening for those that can make it BITUG will be hosting one of our ever popular social and networking events at a venue local to the Bank
Hot-on-the-heals of Little SIG and it’s off to Las Vegas for HP Discover in June. This fantastic event is always popular and promises to have more NonStop coverage than ever this year.
HP Discover is also where the 2012 Connect HP NonStop Availability Contest winner will be announced.
This competition which is close to my own heart gives HP NonStop users from around the world the opportunity to show off, as they vie for the coveted position of Overall Availability Contest winner.
Following on from Bank-Verlag and MasterCard and VISA, who will take this years hotly contested prize? Will it be more of the same, a past runner up or an emerging young upstart?
