Another year nearly gone, Halloween, Guy Fawkes nights, clock changes and dark nights signify that we are heading towards winter when everything goes quiet and people are thinking of Christmas. Not the BITUG committee though, we are busy preparing for the largest dedicated NonStop event in the World in 2011, The Big SIG.
Full details of the Big SIG will be found on this website, but as usual we will putting on:
Wednesday 7th December
BITUG Education Day at the HP offices in Wood Street. This years topic is the Introduction to HP SIM with NonStop Essentials presented Bert van Es.
That evening we will retire to a local pub somewhere near the Tower of London.
Thursday 8th December
Is the Big SIG. If you can only make one SIG this year, make this the one. As you will see elsewhere in this newsletter we plan to run three tracks and a vendor’s area. Tea, coffee and lunch have been sponsored by HP. We also have a major change to the way we run the User group; this has been driven by comments from you, our members. We will be making an announcement at the AGM alongside the usual prize giving.
Looking forward, as well as the changes we are doing with our SIGs in 2012, there is a European conference and exhibition event on 25 – 27 September 2012 at the Westin Bellevue Hotel in Dresden run by GTUG and Connect. Also expect HP to announce the HP Discover in Las Vegas in June. In 2013 BITUG along with other user Groups we will be running a virtual multi-track SIG, for more details come to the Big SIG or watch our Website WWW.BITUG.COM for more details. As always, myself and the committee are there to listen to your ideas and act on them as you will see at the Big SIG on the 7th and 8th December.
